Bayern Munich have not made an approach for Oliver Baumann, according to the Freiburg goalkeeper's agent.
With Bayern back-up stopper Hans-Jorg Butt expected to retire at the end of the season, the Bavarians are likely to be chasing cover to Manuel Neuer in the off-season.
Bayern have been linked with Baumann and Kaiserslautern's Kevin Trapp due to the fact that both are young and both of their sides are currently in relegation trouble.
However, Baumann's representative, Thomas Vogel, insisted that no approach has yet been made.
"There has been no contact. Ultimately, it depends on Bayern Munich and Butt," he told TZ.
That could change in the coming weeks, with Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger admitting that they intend to imminently address the issue.
"We have not talked about a new goalkeeper; we have not even explored the market," he explained.
"(But) this will happen in the next few weeks."
The 21-year-old Baumann, who has been capped by Germany at various underage levels, has made 20 appearances for Freiburg in the Bundesliga this season.
